Scootin' quirks

As some of you peeps out there know, I have a scooter. It is an awesome Italian one. Not to be confused with a cheap Chinese one. . . .no offense. . . His name is Buddy Holly. I love him. I do, I love scooter. I for sure enjoy that little guy. He is rather delight some to drive around on. I wanted a motorcycle but went back and forth with the idea. For 1: I didn't want to look like a dyke (no offense). For 2: The money. . .lets just be honest, scooters are cheaper. So I went with a baby blue Genuine scooter. It made me feel very Euro. I liked that yo. I drove it to work every darn day this summer. Rain, sleet and hail. (ok, fine. . .the sleet and hail thing was a bit dramatic) Some days when it rained I had to stay at work until it let up. That would have been more annoying except I liked my job a lot and I liked the people I work with so it made it all better.

I felt like I was in a parallel world. SERIOUSLY! I never realized how different certain roads were from a scooters point of view. Everything smelt sooo good too! Going down university ave. at lunch time was unbearable! Taco bell, Wendys, McDonald's! Usually gross places, right??!!? WRONG! It smelt like heaven. I started to notice other scooterists (scooterites? scooterees? . . . . ??) and motorcyclists that commuted at the same time. We became friends ish. It was like an un said club. I felt pretty bad A on my baby blue scooter. HA!

I am debating a few things. . . I need all y'alls advice!

• Do I get a transformers sticker and put it on him??? Autobot style!

• Do I get a B.A.C.A. sticker and put it on Buddy Holly?? (Imagine a bright blue scooter in that group!!)

Let me know your thoughts on that.

So one thing that I liked to do while I scooted a long was this: whistle at construction workers. I've actually done it many times from a car or whatever but its really fun when your on a scooter. Some of you are probably wondering why on earth would you do that?? Funny you should ask: Would you believe me if I said reverse karma?? Prob not, no. OK well, I think it brightens up there day! Yes, some, perhaps most are weirdos BUT there are those ones like my brother in law or some other good guys I know that would think its hilarious. Why not, ya know!! Just a quirk.

Did I mention I get 80 miles to the gallon?!

Down side of driving a scooter: Sometimes if you the only at a light, it won't register you! WAAA!! Super sad, not to mention embarrassing! Me and Buddy were just to small to be seen!! Hannah was with me once and sat at a light for 10 minutes! It was traumatic! (actually we were laughing so hard we were falling off) Finally a car came up behind us and the light turned green right away. Running over to the cross walk and pushing the button is a good solution OR turning right then turning around a going straight thought the light.
