I literally had a nightmare the night before about running it and woke up in such a bad mood. I called my mom and she got me all pumped up. When I got there I found My mom, Hillary, Hannah, Lyndsey and my moms bestie, Valloy. We all huddled together to try and stay warm. Stretched out and got in line to race.
As we crossed the finish line Brett and Syd were waiting for us, cheering us on. I felt blessed to have that support. My legs felt like Jello. It was am amazing feeling to realize were I started and that I just ran a 5k. I don't know how people do halfs or marathons. That is insane! Good job.
After the race we all felt energized and exhausted. We got our free stuff and went home. I was soaked and freezing! I took a hot shower, put sweats on and wrapped up in blankets with Brett before I was able to warm up. I'm so proud of my my fam! It was a great support system knowing we were all working towards the same goal. They rock my world and I hope they know it!

Nice job! I'm so proud of you! I bet that was an amazing feeling! You're a rock star.
Thats awesome! My mom is doing that couch to 5k too... Maybe I should do it too, to help me loose some unwanted pregnancy pounds!
Carlie, I loved what you said. It was such a great exhilarating, bonding and challenging goal and experience to have together. I really loved it in spite of the pain in training. I hope we do more things like it together. It was very worth it. There are analogies in life that relate. I like that. You rock my world too and I hope you know that!
Yay Carlie! You did awesome! I don't think I could ever run a long distance (longer than like a half a block!) I love your dang cute family!! Tell them I said hello!! :)
